Basic Marketing Tips For Small Business

Create a logo and establish your brand identity! You can use Canva to design your logo and create some awesome graphics for your business.

Set up your Google My Business Page! Make sure that you complete as many sections as possible, add as many pictures as you can, and use Google Posts to help promote your products, services, and events!

Set up your Yelp page! Love’em or hate them, Yelp is the default review engine for Yahoo/Bing!

Research the keywords potential clients use to find products and services like yours. You can use tools like KW Finder and Answer the Public to help!

In 2020, a website is not optional! While there are a variety of free website builder platforms out there, just remember, this is often the first impression a potential client will have with your business. Do yourself a favor and set your business up for success and hire a professional. The cost of a professionally design website will run you anywhere from $500 and up!

Remember, content is king! Never stop producing content for your site. You should always be doing things like writing additional FAQ’s, writing blogs, and updating your products and services! Don’t forget to share these things on your Google My Business page and social media!

Social Media is another must have in 2020! With more and more people jumping into the social arena, you can’t afford not to be on it! The question is what platform should you do? The answer is easier than you might think… What platform are your customers on? While Facebook might seem like the logical choice (and it probably is), you might also look at platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, or LinkedIn!

Don’t forget to set up an email marketing system! Putting together a marketing list early on will really set you up for success! Platforms like MailChimp offer free accounts that will help you get started!

Make sure to establish some credibility by establishing a relationship with your local Chamber of Commerce, setting up a Better Business Bureau profile, or some type of industry association that shows consumers your commitment to the community and high standards!
