Social Media Marketing in Arizona
So why should a business hire an agency to manage their social media? Truth is, most business owners don’t have time to manage their social media effectively on their own. With literally hundreds and hundreds of different platforms out there, how could they? To be successful at Social media, it is all about understanding who your target audience really is and how you can reach them. Example, if I had a business who focused on senior services (ages 65+), what social media platform might I use? Answer is Facebook. With over 2 billion monthly active users on Facebook, it is hard to argue their presence is the dominate social media network. The Pew Research Center completed a study in January of 2018 which shows that Facebook has a 41% penetration rate among seniors 65+, followed closely by YouTube with a 40%.
The next nearest network was Pinterest with 16% for the 65+ community. Now let’s flip that around, if my target audience was in the 18-29 age bracket, the answer changes a little. YouTube, Snapchat, and Instagram become viable networks now. Now that doesn’t mean we exclude Facebook and other channels, it just means we need to see where we can get the “biggest bang for our buck” if you will.
Do You Want To Be A Social Media Rockstar?
Why should I invest in Social Media?
That answer is rather simple. Social Media should be and is a part of a successful marketing strategy. Why? Because it is cost effective, for now… and let’s not forget, your customers are using social media! According to Statista, 70% of the U.S. population has at least one social media profile. Think of social media like a branding resource… What other medium could you use to get your brand in front of a client as often as possible without being annoying? Email marketing? Nope. How about SMS? Nope. Maybe you could do some direct mail? Sure, if you can afford a few thousand dollars a month… Fact is, for a minimal investment every month, you have the opportunity to get in front of your clients on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
How often should I post to Social Media?
Well, that question is a little more complicated. Depending on the business, you might be posting a couple times a day or maybe only a couple times a week… The key here is to understand your clients and target audience. Some demographics live on social. They spend hours on social platforms every day. Other demographics log in once a week to once a month… So again, the type of business you have and the demographic you target will largely dictate how often you post. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend posting at least 4 – 5 times per week. The key is consistency.
What should I post to my Social Media networks?
Another complicated question… To connect with your customers and potential customers, you have to show the human side of your business. How are you looking out for the best interests of your customers and employees? Does your product really work? Are you involved in the community? The ability to connect with consumers is the ultimate goal here. We try and coach clients, enough with the “me, me, me” posts. It’s ok to showcase your products and services a few times a week, but it shouldn’t be every post. Chances are if you are on a social media already, you know what we’re talking about. There is always that one or two businesses out there that always seem to have a sale, or are constantly pushing their products at you. You get tired of seeing that. Instead, what if that business only posted about their product(s) a couple times a week, and the other posts were some “feel good” posts about donating to a non-profit, volunteering, a funny industry joke, or famous quote to perk up your day… It is all about diversity and the businesses who get it right are almost always more successful at social media.
Our process for social media is simple. The fact is, we will never know your business like you do. And for all those social media companies out there who claim you will manage all of your profiles and you will be a social media rockstar for $99 a month… Forget about it. Isn’t going to happen. Instead, we partner with our clients on their social media strategy, we don’t manage the whole thing. Believe me, you don’t want us trying to quote out your products/services… Our goal is to supplement a business’s social channels with engaging content so you can focus on running your business. We focus on content like engaging graphics, videos, facts, humor, trivia, polls, fill-in-the-blank, etc to lighten up a client’s social media page. That way you can focus on the promotional type posts about specific products/services and respond to comments/requests for information.
